Sorting & Research

How to Sort TikTok Videos by Saves

To sort TikTok videos by saves, open a supported profile in desktop Chrome and choose Most Saves in FeedRama. Set a collection scope, run the sort, and inspect the highest-ranked posts. Save counts can help you locate content worth studying as a reference, but they do not show who saved a post or guarantee that viewers returned to it.

Try the workflow in Chrome

Use FeedRama on a supported Instagram or TikTok page, and check the available range and actions in your account.

Collect a clearly defined profile sample

  1. Install FeedRama from the Chrome Web Store in desktop Chrome, then reload the Instagram or TikTok tab.
  2. Open the creator’s TikTok profile and wait for the grid to load.
  3. Choose a post count or available date window, then select Most Saves.
  4. Record the collection date, result count, and any partial status.
  5. Watch several high-save posts and a few ordinary posts from the same sample.

The TikTok sorter offers this metric for available post data. It is not a view into another person’s private saved collection.

Look for a reason to return

Useful reference formats include recipes, sequences of steps, checklists, examples, or demonstrations. Record the specific job the video helps with: choosing an ingredient, setting up a tool, or remembering a technique. Avoid reducing the observation to “people like educational content.”

Reference featureWhat to inspect
Step sequenceCan someone follow it without guessing?
List of materialsAre names and quantities readable?
Before-and-after exampleIs the transformation explained?
DemonstrationCan the viewer see the important action?

These prompts do not prove why people saved a particular post. They help you form a testable explanation.

Analyze available saves in a spreadsheet

For a standard TikTok export, Saves is column I and Views is E. After verifying those headers and the underlying values, a saves-to-views ratio can be calculated as =IF(E2>0,I2/E2,""). Use the export workflow when available.

A missing value can be represented by a fallback, so do not calculate confident ratios from unknown metrics. The ratio is not a measure of repeat visits, purchases, or unique people. Report the collection scope and when the counts were observed.

Design something genuinely useful to revisit

Choose one task your audience repeats and make the next video easier to use as a reference. Show the sequence clearly, make key information legible, and give the viewer enough context to apply it. An instruction to save the post cannot compensate for an unclear explanation.

Compare the outcome with your own prior posts rather than assuming a competitor’s result predicts yours. Use share sorting as a separate question about what people pass along.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sort TikTok posts by saves?

FeedRama offers Most Saves for available TikTok profile metrics. The result applies to the collected sample.

Does this reveal a person’s saved videos?

No. It ranks aggregate post metrics, not the contents of another user’s private saved collection.

Does a save mean a future purchase?

No. It does not establish intent, a return visit, or a purchase. Treat it as one observable response to the post.

Can I use this sort on Instagram?

Most Saves is TikTok-only in the current FeedRama interface. Instagram profile research uses its supported metrics instead.

What if the save count is missing?

Treat it as unavailable and check the source context. A fallback zero in an export is not necessarily a measured zero.
